I was born and raised in Canada where I studied Health Sciences and Psychology before departing to The Netherlands on what was supposed to be a 6-month long trip. I fell in love with the country and the various communities that exist within it. In my time in the Netherlands I have expanded my educational horizons, studying global health at the VU, and completing my MSc in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University.
Over the years I have worked with a wide variety of mental health concerns including but not limited to; addictions counselling, chronic illness and terminal diagnosis, dual diagnosis, and traditional and non-traditional relationship counselling.
